At least one in every 16 people has diabetes.  Though there is no cure for diabetes, it can be managed by keeping blood sugar at a healthy level, through eating healthy balanced meals, exercise, and possibly medication.  What you do everyday determines what your blood sugar levels will be.  Because diabetes is primarily self-managed, you should learn as much as you can about the disease.

The American Diabetes Association website has a lot of useful information including:

·           Nutrition & Recipes

·           Weight Loss & Exercise

·           Information for Parents & Kids

And much, much more.
