·          The medical assistant is available to give medical advice over the telephone as instructed by your provider.  He/she can help you determine whether you or a family member need to be seen by a physician or if there is something you can do at home.  He/she can also answer questions about medication your provider has prescribed for you.  The medical assistant works as an important part of your provider’s team and is available on the phone during regular clinic hours.  If he/she is unavailable at the time of your call, please leave a voice mail and she will return your call by the end of that working day.
