If you subscribe to a managed care insurance plan, a referral authorization may be required for services not provided by Bayshore Family Medicine.  These referrals must be initiated by your primary care provider.  For routine referrals, you should hear from our office within a few days of the request being submitted, however, the authorization process for some referrals may take up to 7 days to complete.  If you have not heard from our office within one week, please contact your provider’s nurse or medical assistant.
