What are Preventive Services?

The following are examples of preventative services your physician can provide:

·          Recommending screening tests to check your general health or the health of certain parts of your body.  This includes imaging tests, such as mammograms, and laboratory tests, such as blood tests to check your cholesterol level.

·          Creating a complete health history for you and your family and reviewing it to identify risk factors for certain health problems.

·          Advising you about nutrition, exercise, stress, accident prevention and use of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs.
