We encourage you to breastfeed your baby. Research continues to give us more and more reasons why breast milk is best for your baby and why breastfeeding is best for new moms. No formula can provide the nutrition or protection from disease that breast milk can provide. The American Academy of Pediatricians and the World Health Organization recommend breastfeeding as the sole source of nourishment for the first 6 months.
